UrbexWorld ("we", "us", or "our") operates the UrbexWorld mobile application. This page explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: your email address and username when you register.
• Location data: your approximate device location, used to show nearby abandoned locations on the map. We do not store or share your location.
• User-generated content: locations you add, reviews you write, blog posts you submit, and chat messages you send.
• Usage data: which locations you view, save, or mark as visited. This is used to power features like your profile and the leaderboard.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the UrbexWorld app and its features.
• To show you nearby abandoned locations based on your location.
• To display your profile, XP, level, and activity to other users.
• To moderate user-submitted content (locations, reviews, blog posts).
• To send transactional emails such as account verification.

3. Advertising

UrbexWorld uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data to show you relevant ads. This includes a device identifier and usage data. You can learn more about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following parties:

• Supabase: our database and authentication provider, used to store your account and content securely.
• Google AdMob: for serving advertisements within the app.

We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Children's Privacy

UrbexWorld is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
